Jie Shao, a non-licensed individual, was convicted of manslaughter for the death of Jean Huang after a faulty breast filler operation in Sydney in 2017.

Shao administered hyaluronic acid, not approved in Australia, and a fatal dose of lidocaine, which led to Huang's death.

The jury returned a guilty verdict swiftly, over six years after the incident occurred.

Shao's bail has been revoked ahead of a sentencing hearing scheduled for May.

Defense claims of an accidental overdose and allegations of financial bias among prosecution witnesses did not sway the jury.

Shao is currently in custody, and an associated male staffer implicated in the clinic's operations has fled the country.
