New York Knicks All-NBA forward Julius Randle to have season-ending right shoulder surgery.

Randle's initial decision to forego surgery in hope of a return this season was thwarted by re-injury during rehab.

He is expected to recover in time for the 2024-25 NBA season following a five-month re-evaluation period.

Knicks also dealing with the absence of forward OG Anunoby, sidelined for nine games with elbow inflammation.

Despite injuries, Randle remains optimistic about his team's prospects.
