A data breach has hit the Russian language fan club forum for cybersecurity firm Kaspersky, affecting 56,798 users.

Compromised data includes full names, IP addresses, email addresses, and password hashes, leaked by the hacker group RGB.

The security incident took place on March 24, 2024, with Kaspersky Labs confirming their servers were unaffected.

RGB, the group behind the breach, also claimed responsibility for hacking the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation.

Users of the Kaspersky Fan Club forum are urged to change their passwords and watch out for phishing attacks.

The group NLB, with ties to RGB, has a history of selling databases from significant Russian platforms, indicating a pattern of targeted cyber attacks.
