TikTok and Universal Music Group have ended their three-month dispute with a new licensing agreement.

The agreement restores access to UMG's music catalog, including tracks by SZA, Bad Bunny, Kendrick Lamar, and Ariana Grande on TikTok.

Previously muted TikToks featuring UMG music will be reactivated with their original soundtracks.

UMG's artists and songwriters will benefit from the deal through new monetization opportunities and collaborative campaigns.

TikTok has agreed to remove AI-generated music and improve recognition for artists and songwriters.

Despite a potential US ban looming over TikTok due to its ties with China's ByteDance, the deal is set to double Universal's TikTok-related revenue to €200 million.
