Dubai Police Nab Alleged Crime Boss in Global Crackdown on Balkan Gang

A Dubai Police-led operation, in cooperation with Europol, Eurojust and Serbian authorities, resulted in the arrest of Marko Dordevic, the alleged leader of the international crime gang known as the Vracarci gang or Witchcrafters.
Dordevic was identified by Serbia as the mastermind in a Belgrade murder investigation and was living in Dubai under an INTERPOL Red Notice at the time of arrest in late October 2025.
The operation, named Haris, was conducted with Europol and involved the Serbian Ministry of Interior and the Spanish National Police.
The case underscores ongoing international cooperation to dismantle cross-border criminal networks and reflects the UAE’s commitment to security, stability, and the rule of law.

Overall, ten gang members were detained in Serbia, with operations spanning Belgrade and nearby regions andvaluables seized as part of coordinated law enforcement action.
In Spain, two suspects were arrested in Valencia and Barcelona with support from the Spanish National Police; in the UAE, Dubai authorities coordinated with Europol, Eurojust and Serbian authorities to finalize the arrest and prepare evidence for judicial cooperation.
Dordevic’s arrest in Dubai was central to dismantling the gang’s command structure and was conducted under international cooperation procedures.
