Honda Unveils 480-HP Electric SUV and Lamborghini-Inspired Saloon with Autonomous Tech
October 18, 2025
The new SUV features a spacious, square-shaped design reminiscent of the Honda HR-V, with an electric powertrain and a large size aimed at the global market.
This electric SUV is expected to be a major model outside Asia, particularly in the UK, where it could become one of Honda's bestsellers due to its impressive performance and electric capabilities.
However, UK customers will have to wait until 2027 to purchase the 480-horsepower electric SUV, which was unveiled at the 2025 CES in Las Vegas and is scheduled for production in 2026.
Both the SUV and the saloon will be equipped with Level 3 autonomous driving technology, allowing hands- and eyes-off driving in limited conditions, making them the first Honda vehicles in North America with this feature.
These models will feature Honda’s new in-house operating system named after the humanoid robot Asimo, enabling comprehensive in-vehicle connectivity and over-the-air updates.
Honda is launching a new electric vehicle lineup that includes a large SUV and a Lamborghini-inspired saloon, both produced at their new electric hub in Ohio, marking Honda's fourth generation of EVs.
