Hyundai Australia is recalling about 11,928 vehicles, specifically the Santa Fe large SUV and the Ioniq 6 electric sedan, due to a seatbelt anchorage tensioner stopper defect that may lose tension in the front seats.

The defect could cause the seatbelt anchorage to become dislodged, potentially preventing the seatbelt from providing full protection and raising the risk of injury or death in a crash.

Affected production years are 2022 through 2026 for the current-generation Santa Fe and Ioniq 6.
